Alan's Biography Page

Alan has been a programmer for 20 years and a musician about twice that long. He helped rewrite the original Electronic Bookshelf program which was later purchased by Scholastic. He programs in several languages including Basic, Javascript and PHP.

Some of the other jobs he's had: Worked in the DeVry Chicago mailroom; Loaded bags of fertilizer; Worked in a glass factory, in a transmission factory, in a bomb factory; Overhauled several car engines; Driven from Illinois to California and back alone with no music or radio.
